Sara Scruggs

Sara Scruggs has a diverse work experience starting from 2008. Sara began their career as a Junior Analyst - Summer Intern at Environmental Risk Communications, Inc. in 2008, followed by a Financial Analyst - Summer Intern role at the same company in 2009.

In 2010, they worked as an Assurance Staff I at Ernst & Young before joining the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta in 2011. At the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, Sara held various roles including Financial Risk Analyst I, Financial Risk Analyst II, Senior Quantitative Risk Management Analyst, Senior Quantitative Asset and Liability Management Analyst, Manager of Financial Risk Modeling, Market Risk Officer, Vice President (VP), and finally, Director of Quantitative Risk Modeling, Market Risk Officer, First Vice President (FVP), where they are currently employed.

Their work experience at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta spans from 2011 to the present, showcasing their expertise in risk management and modeling.

Sara Scruggs completed their education at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Sara obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Quantitative and Computational Finance from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics with a Certificate in Accounting from 2005 to 2010. In addition, they obtained the certification of Enterprise Data Management Associate from CMMI in February 2019.
