David Smith

David Smith has extensive experience in business intelligence and risk analytics in the financial sector, currently serving as Business Intelligence Team Lead at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines since June 2015. Previously, David held various roles focused on risk management and data analytics, including Lead Analyst and Senior Analyst in Risk Analytics, where expertise in data and credit risk management for substantial mortgage portfolios was demonstrated. Additionally, experience at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle and Capital Bank included designing databases, streamlining reporting processes, and contributing to significant organizational transitions. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from North Carolina State University.
