Greg Ward has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Greg started their career as an Account Executive at Mutual Risk Management in 1998 and then moved on to become a Manager at PwC, where they specialized in auditing financial services companies. At PwC, they also participated in reviewing Lloyds of London reserves and led due diligence work for capital market client acquisitions. In 2000, they joined Zentropy Partners as the Vice President of Finance, where they were responsible for integrating post-acquisition companies and managing global finance operations. In 2002, they joined Ernst & Young as a Senior Manager, leading internal audit outsourcing and co-sourcing relationships for financial services companies. At Ernst & Young, they managed various internal audit engagements covering key risk management functions. In 2013, they joined the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco as a VP of Internal Audit and later took on roles as the Chief Audit Executive, EVP, Chief Risk Officer, and currently serves as the EVP, Chief Operating Officer. In these roles, they have been responsible for overseeing risk management, internal audit, and the Bank's enterprise risk framework.

Greg Ward has a diverse education history. Greg obtained their BSc Hons degree in Politics and Modern History from Brunel University London between 1989 and 1992. Greg later enrolled in the Pacific Coast Banking School, where they completed the Graduate Banking School program from 2017 to 2019. During the same period, they also attended the University of Washington and completed the Executive Leadership Program. In addition to their formal education, Greg has obtained various certifications, including a Certificate of Internal Audit from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in March 2015, a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist certification from ACAMS in March 2013, a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in August 2007, and a Chartered Accountant designation from ICAEW in May 1998.
