Joe Weisbord

Joe Weisbord is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in housing policy, community development, and urban planning. Currently serving as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Federal Housing Finance Agency since April 2023, Joe brings a wealth of knowledge from previous roles, including Principal at JRW Strategies and Director positions at Fannie Mae, where responsibilities ranged from enhancing mortgage credit access to leading foreclosure prevention initiatives. Joe's leadership in addressing homelessness resulted in significant investments and housing production for at-risk populations. In addition to practical experience, Joe has over two decades of academic involvement as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute, teaching courses in real estate finance and affordable housing development. Joe holds a Master of Science in City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Oberlin College.
