Richard Cournoyer

Richard Cournoyer is an experienced law enforcement professional with a robust background in police training and operations. Currently serving as a Training Instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers since January 2018, Richard also holds the position of Chief of Police and Sergeant at the Mansfield Resident Troopers Office, where daily leadership and the coordination of police services in Mansfield, Connecticut are provided. Richard's previous roles include Sergeant at Troop C, where supervision of troop operations across Tolland County was undertaken, and Liaison for the Connecticut State Police to the Department of Corrections, overseeing criminal investigations. With extensive experience as an Academy Staff Instructor and a Patrol Trooper, Richard has garnered various certifications and awards throughout a distinguished career in law enforcement. Richard is a graduate of the Connecticut State Police Training Academy, specializing in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration.
