Brenda D Pryor, Esq. currently serves as the Commissioner of Mediation at the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service since October 2019, specializing in mediation services across public, private, and federal sectors, including collective bargaining and workplace discrimination dispute resolution. Prior experience includes roles as Associate General Counsel at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, where legal services in labor and employment, compliance, and immigration were provided, and as Legal Counsel for the Cook County College Teachers Union - Local 1600, focusing on labor contract negotiations and grievance representation. Brenda has also served as a part-time Arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County, Associate Director of External Affairs for the Illinois Community College Board, and an Associate at the Law Office of Bernard Shelton. Brenda earned a law degree from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a focus on Horticulture from the University of Minnesota.
