John Piccione

John Piccione currently serves as an Assistant Federal Public Defender at the Federal Defender Organizations since April 2023. Prior to this role, John was an Attorney at the Louisiana Department of Insurance from December 2021 to April 2023 and worked as a CJA Panel Attorney for the Federal Public Defender from October 2019 to January 2022. Additional experience includes working as an Associate Attorney at O’Pry Law Firm and as Section Chief (Felony Track 3) at the 15th Judicial District Defenders Office. John held the position of Vice President at xcessivetech and served as an Associate Attorney at Scialdone Law Firm, PLLC. Earlier in the career, John was involved in Business & Legal Affairs at Legendary Entertainment / Asylum Entertainment and conducted research at Loyola Law School. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from Louisiana State University, and a brief period of study at Middlebury College.
