Alex Ruder is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in workforce development and economic policy. Currently serving as the CED Director and Principal Adviser at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta since April 2018, Alex's role emphasizes workforce development research and policy engagement within the Sixth District. Prior to this position, Alex held the title of Assistant Professor of Public Policy at the University of South Carolina from August 2015 to June 2018 and was a Research Project Manager and Data Scientist at Rutgers University's Heldrich Center for Workforce Development from May 2013 to August 2015, focusing on labor economics and education research. Additionally, Alex worked as a Business Services Manager for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity from January 2006 to July 2008.
