Brittany Birken

Brittany Birken serves as the Community and Economic Development Director and Principal Adviser at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, specializing in economic mobility for low-income working families and working with leaders to advance workforce development. Previous roles include Strategy Officer at the University of Florida Lastinger Center, where strategic partnerships were developed to enhance educational outcomes, and CEO of the Florida Children’s Council, leading collaborative efforts to support children and families in Florida. Birken also held various positions in early learning initiatives, including Director of the Office of Early Learning, where oversight was provided for multiple educational programs impacting over 400,000 children. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Child Development from Florida State University.
