Sumi Chong

Sumi Chong currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Counsel & Compliance Officer for the Office of Employee Benefits at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this role, Sumi held the title of Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at the Federal Reserve System Office of Employee Benefits from November 2011 to April 2025. Sumi's extensive legal experience includes serving as Senior Benefits Counsel at Campbell Soup Company from February 2005 to October 2011, Corporate Counsel at Bristol-Myers Squibb from October 1999 to February 2005, and Senior Consultant at Price Waterhouse Coopers from 1996 to 1999. Sumi earned a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies from Wellesley College, obtained in 1987.
