Senior Vice President, Supervision and Regulation at Federal Reserve Bank Of Chicago

Joseph (Joe) Davidson is senior vice president in the supervision and regulation department. Davidson leads the department oversight division with responsibilities for the department’s talent management, finance, business operations and analytics, quality management, conflicts of interest, applications and enforcement, and technology and records management functions. He has been involved with chairing and participating in district and system management committees providing leadership and input to operational and programmatic initiatives.

Prior to this role, Davidson was vice president of the consumer compliance division where he had responsibilities for the supervision of Seventh District state member banks for the Consumer Compliance and the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). His responsibilities also included supervision of regional and large bank holding companies, savings and loan holding companies (SLHCs) and foreign banking organizations for consumer compliance.

Davidson joined the Bank in 1999 as a retail payments analyst. He joined the supervision and regulation department in 2002 where he attained his examiner commissioning. He assumed various examination and managerial positions of increasing responsibility within supervision and regulation across consumer compliance and safety and soundness. Davidson holds B.A. from Kalamazoo College.
