Vanessa Palmer has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Vanessa started their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Washington in 2005 and then went on to work as a Teacher in Baltimore City Public Schools and KIPP Texas Public Schools. In 2011, Vanessa joined the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health as a Graduate Research Fellow/Research Assistant. Vanessa then transitioned to a role as the Research & Evaluation Manager at Boston Plan for Excellence (BPE) in 2013.
In 2014, Vanessa joined Hiawatha Academies as the Director of Data & Analytics, and later became the Senior Director of Data & Analytics. Vanessa then moved to Daugherty Business Solutions in 2019, where they worked as a Consultant and Senior Consultant in Data & Analytics. Their work experience includes roles as a Data Scientist and Data Director at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, where they were involved in the Center for Indian Country Development and Community Development and Engagement.
Throughout their career, Vanessa Palmer has gained expertise in data analysis, research, and education, and has developed a strong understanding of the public health and education sectors.
Vanessa Palmer obtained a Sc.M. degree in Environmental Epidemiology from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where they studied from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they pursued a B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Washington, graduating in 2008.
