Daniel Wilson

Vice President, Macroeconomic and Applied Microeconomic Research at Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco

Daniel Wilson has extensive experience in the field of economics. Daniel began their career as a Data Analyst at Rust Consulting from June 1995 to July 1996. Daniel then joined the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in September 2001 as an Economist, and over the years, they advanced to the position of Senior Economist, Research Advisor, and currently serves as the Vice President of Macroeconomic and Applied Microeconomic Research. In addition to their work at the Federal Reserve Bank, Daniel has also served on the Board of Editors for the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy since April 2017 and is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the National Tax Journal starting in September 2021. In 2012, they worked as a Visiting Professor at the University of Michigan, teaching Intermediate Macroeconomics to undergraduate students during the Fall term.

Daniel Wilson earned their High School Diploma from Park View High School in 1991. Daniel then went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Virginia, graduating in 1995. Daniel further pursued their education and completed a PhD in Economics at the University of Maryland from 1996 to 2001.
