B. Ravikumar

B. Ravikumar serves as senior vice president in the Research Division at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He is also a visiting professor of economics at Washington University in St. Louis.

Prior to joining the Bank in 2011, Mr. Ravikumar served on the faculty in the economics departments at the University of Iowa, Pennsylvania State University and the University of Virginia. His current research focuses on macroeconomics, international trade and economic development.

Mr. Ravikumar received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Iowa and his Master of Science in economics from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. In addition, he has a master’s in industrial engineering from the National Institute of Industrial Engineering, a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Science and a bachelor’s in physics from the University of Bombay, India.
