Calvin Mitchell Jr has extensive experience in contracting and procurement management within federal government agencies. Most recently, from February 2020 to November 2023, Calvin served as Executive Director (HCA) at Federal Student Aid, U.S. Department of Education, where responsibilities included managing compliance and contract functions, overseeing a significant annual grant portfolio, and implementing financial assistance programs. Prior roles include Deputy Assistant Secretary, Director of the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, and Deputy Director of Contracts & Acquisitions Management, during which Calvin led initiatives to support small and disadvantaged businesses and managed complex acquisition processes. Earlier experience includes leadership roles at the General Services Administration and the House Committee on Homeland Security, as well as a deputy chief position at the U.S. Army Geospatial Center, overseeing substantial contracting programs. Calvin holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Centenary University.
