Gaurav Laroia

Gaurav Laroia is a seasoned attorney and policy advisor with extensive experience in internet and technology policy, national security, and legislative advocacy. Currently serving as Attorney-Advisor to FTC Commissioner Slaughter at the Federal Trade Commission since May 2021, Gaurav previously held roles such as Senior Policy Counsel at Free Press, where responsibilities included addressing issues like Net Neutrality, privacy, and algorithmic discrimination. Additional experience encompasses positions at the Government Accountability Project, ACLU, and the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, where Gaurav engaged in legislative advocacy and oversight of critical national security topics. Gaurav's early career included impactful roles at The Carter Center, Supreme Court of India, and working for Senator Edward M. Kennedy, contributing to significant legislation and policy reforms. Gaurav holds a JD from The George Washington University Law School and a BA in International Affairs and Political Science from The George Washington University.
