Michelle Rosenthal

Michelle Rosenthal is a Senior Attorney at the Federal Trade Commission since June 2022, specializing in advertising technology, deceptive advertising practices, privacy, fraud, and online consumer protection. Prior to this role, Michelle served as Director of Privacy and Data Security at T-Mobile from December 2013 to May 2022, focusing on privacy and cybersecurity, and providing strategic guidance during government investigations. Michelle's earlier experience at the FTC included positions as an Attorney in both the Division of Privacy and Identity Protection and the Division of Advertising Practices, where work involved enforcement and policy on various advertising and privacy issues. Additional legal experience includes a law clerk role for the Hon. Warren M. Silver at the Maine Supreme Judicial Court and positions at Kalijarvi, Chuzi & Newman and the U.S. Department of Justice. Michelle holds a JD from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida.
