Hans Kristensen is an accomplished expert in nuclear policy and disarmament, currently serving as an Associate Senior Fellow at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) since June 2016, where responsibilities include authoring profiles and analyzing the nuclear forces of nine nuclear-armed states. In addition, Hans is the Director of the Nuclear Information Project at the Federation of American Scientists, overseeing research and outreach regarding global nuclear arsenals while engaging with various stakeholders to inform public debate. Previous roles include consulting for the Natural Resources Defense Council, serving as a Program Officer at the Nautilus Institute, and advising within the Danish Ministry of Defense. Additionally, Hans has held positions at Greenpeace, focusing on nuclear issues and campaigns.
