Stephanie Hagstrom

Stephanie Hagstrom is an experienced program manager and community development leader with a robust background in scholarly communications and research data management. Currently serving as the Program Manager of the DataWorks! Help Desk at the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology since June 2023, Stephanie previously held roles including Community Development Director at the Research Data Alliance from September 2020 to June 2023, and Executive Director of the FORCE11 Scholarly Communications Institute, where foundational organizational structures were established. Additional notable positions include Executive Director at the FAIR Data Informatics Lab at the University of California San Diego, and Director of Global Events for the International Society of Computational Biology. With a career spanning over three decades, including roles in strategic meeting management at Concepts Worldwide and event project management for the America’s Cup, Stephanie has cultivated expertise in organizational operations, community development, and the advancement of research and education in the biological sciences.
