Zijian Hu

Zijian Hu has a strong background in research and engineering. Zijian is currently working as a Machine Learning Engineer at FedML, where they are leading the development of FedLLM, a project focused on large language models and multimodal foundation models. Prior to this, they held the role of Research Engineer in Computer Vision at both ByteDance and TikTok from October 2021 to March 2023. Zijian also worked at USC Viterbi School of Engineering as a Research Staff member from September 2020 to October 2021 and as a Research Assistant from June 2019 to May 2020 and again from April 2019 to May 2020. Zijian's earlier work experience includes an internship as a Full Stack Engineer at 4Paradigm, where they developed office automation software using Node.js, npm, and Koa for server-side and Angular for client-side.

Zijian Hu pursued their education in Computer Science, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California in 2020. Zijian continued their studies at the same institution and completed a Master of Science degree in Computer Science in 2020 as well.
