Liza van der Smissen is an accomplished film professional with extensive experience in various roles within the film and event management industry. As Co-Founder and Managing Director of Female Film Club since March 2020, Liza has been instrumental in supporting filmmakers globally in developing their mindset, skills, and networks. Previously serving as a Business Development Manager at The Scalers, Liza implemented a new partnership strategy and improved workflow efficiency. Liza's film production experience spans from 2017 to 2023 with Liza Nina Films, producing notable feature films and ensuring successful department coordination. Prior to these roles, Liza managed high-profile events at Bubble Food and contributed to various film projects, including acting in films produced by Reliance Entertainment. Liza's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Film from Middlesex University and a National Diploma in Professional Theatre and Dance from Doreen Bird College.
