Debayan Ghosh

Debayan Ghosh has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Deep Learning Engineer at Femtosense. Prior to that, they worked as an AI/ML Intern at Apple in 2022. In the same year, they also worked as a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, where they collaborated with the WAVLab and was advised by Prof. Shinji Watanabe. In 2021, Debayan served as a Machine Learning Engineer at needl.ai. Before that, they worked at Western Digital as a Firmware Engineer from 2018 to 2020, where they designed and implemented system and protocol level tests for enterprise-grade HDDs. Additionally, they completed an internship at SanDisk in 2018, where they contributed to reaching key QSR milestones for a 14-TB Enterprise Grade HDD. Other experiences include a Project Internship at the Indian Institute of Science in 2018 and a Visiting Research Scholar position at the University of Southern California's Signal Analysis and Interpretation Laboratory in 2017. At USC, they developed an End to End Speaker Diarization System using unsupervised learning techniques under the guidance of Dr. Panayiotis Georgiou.

Debayan Ghosh pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from PES University, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. In their early education, they attended National Public School, Koramangala from 2012 to 2014, and completed their CBSE : AISSCE (Grade 12) with a focus on Physics, Chemistry, Math, and Computer Science.
