Product Designer at Fenergo

Carlijn van Engelen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Carlijn is currently working at Fenergo as a Product Designer since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Designer at Sentinels starting from December 2022. Carlijn also gained experience at VMware as a Product Designer from January 2021 to December 2022, where they focused on identifying new product opportunities through user research and advocating for the user throughout iterations.

In 2020, Carlijn worked as a User Experience designer as a self-employed entrepreneur. Before that, they held multiple roles at Madison Black from October 2018 to December 2020, including Brand Ambassador and Recruitment Consultant, where they were responsible for digital product and service development in various disciplines.

Carlijn's earlier experiences include working as a Candidate Consultant - QA Pharma / Biotech at Progressive Recruitment, where they specialized in the pharmaceutical sector, and as an Assistant Agent - Internship at The Birds Management. Carlijn also gained administrative experience at Rabobank and worked as an Assistant in photography and cinematography at Tom Hayton Photography.

Carlijn van Engelen obtained a Crossfunctional UX Design degree from Growth Tribe in 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Media and Entertainment Management from Breda University of Applied Sciences, graduating between 2013 and 2018. In 2015, they completed a production course at Northern Arizona University. Carlijn began their education at Koning Willem I College in 2009 and completed a degree in Photography in 2013. Additionally, Carlijn van Engelen has obtained several certifications, including Cross-functional UX Design from Growth Tribe in October 2020, Power Your Media Plan with Display & Video 360 from Google in April 2020, Google Analytics Essential Training from LinkedIn in February 2020, Marketing Tools: Digital Marketing from LinkedIn in February 2020, and MBO Niveau 4 Fotografie from Koning Willem I College in June 2013.
