Neil Breslin has a diverse range of work experience. Neil started their career as a Technical Support Agent for CPL, supporting the St James Place investment group. Neil also took on training duties for new starters. In 2005, they worked at Diageo in the Guinness Storehouse. Neil then joined CPL Managed Services as a Technical Support Coach and Subject Matter Expert, where they stayed until 2014. At this point, they moved to the Central Bank of Ireland as a Senior Service Desk Analyst, dealing with various technology deployments and hardware upgrades. In 2016, Neil joined Fenergo as a Technical Analyst, where they worked closely with Devops and Client Support teams, managed server deployment and support, and implemented security controls. Neil also had responsibilities as an Azure Support Specialist and Jive/Aurea Administrator. In 2020, they transitioned to the role of IT Systems Administrator at Fenergo, focusing on identifying needs and managing solutions for each customer.

Neil Breslin obtained their degree in Journalism and Media Communications from Griffith College Dublin, where they studied from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they attended St Declans CBS from 1997 to 2003, although the degree and field of study for this period are unknown. In addition to their education, Neil has obtained various certifications, including "(EDU-318) Prisma Access SASE Security - Design and Operation" from Palo Alto Networks in November 2022, "(EDU-210) Firewall Essentials: Configuration and Management" from Palo Alto Networks in October 2022, "(EDU-220) Panorama: Managing Firewalls at Scale" from Palo Alto Networks in October 2022, and "AZ-140T00 Configuring and Operating Windows Virtual Desktop on Microsoft Azure" from New Horizons Computer Learning Centers in June 2022.
