Uganda Finance Director at Fenix International

Patricia Kawooya has a range of experience in finance and accounting roles. Patricia started their career at Stanbic Bank Uganda in 2008 as a Financial Reporting Accountant, where they were responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the General Ledger and preparing financial reports. In 2013, they joined Air Uganda as a Financial Accountant, handling various financial tasks such as establishing accounting procedures, preparing financial statements, and managing cash flow. Patricia then moved to Nakasero Hospital Ltd in 2014, where they served as a Finance Manager, contributing to the organization's mission, training staff on financial management, and assisting in strategic vision and contract development. Patricia'smost recent position, starting in 2016, is at Fenix International as a Financial Controller and later as Uganda Finance Director.

Patricia Kawooya's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled at Makerere University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting. Patricia completed their undergraduate studies in 2006.

Afterward, in 2007, Patricia pursued further education at ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) for three years, focusing on Accounting. It is worth noting that no specific degree was mentioned for this period.

In 2014, Patricia took a step towards enhancing their knowledge in Business Administration and Management. Patricia enrolled at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree. Patricia successfully completed their postgraduate studies in 2016.

In terms of additional certifications, Patricia obtained the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) certification in May 2015 from the ACCA institution.
