Alec Stonehouse is a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate student at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, expected to graduate in 2023. Currently serving as an Engineering Intern at Fenix Space since September 2021, Alec is responsible for designing packaging and integration of GNC components for launch vehicles and developing program Equipment Lists for engineering teams to effectively track and integrate subsystems. In addition, Alec has held the position of Composites Lab Instructional Student Assistant, where responsibilities include organizing the use of the Composites Lab and advising students on manufacturing projects. Previous experience includes a Mechanical Engineering Internship at Kelly Space & Technology, Inc., where Alec built and troubleshot industrial shakers for vibration tests, and a Materials Handling Internship at Achates Power, focusing on inventory management and assembly kit preparation. Alec also served as President of the Experimental Motorsports Club, highlighting leadership and engagement in mechanical engineering activities.
