Cheryl Mostrom Cecil, SPHR, CEBS has a diverse and extensive work experience in human resources. Cheryl started their career at Colorcon as a Human Resources Representative, where they worked from 1987 to 1991. Cheryl then joined Hogan Systems, Inc. as a Human Resources Coordinator, responsible for various HR tasks such as employee engagement, benefits, training, and policy development. After that, they worked at Smith Environmental Technologies as a Corporate Benefits Manager, where they led the development and administration of health, welfare, and retirement plans. Since 1996, Cheryl has been with Fennemore Craig, P.C. initially as a Benefits Manager, then progressing to Senior Manager of Human Resources and Benefits. Currently, they hold the position of Chief People Officer, overseeing a wide range of HR operations including workforce planning, recruitment, compensation, employee relations, training, policy development, and legal compliance. Cheryl's work experience demonstrates their expertise in strategic HR management, employee engagement, and benefits administration.
Cheryl Mostrom Cecil, SPHR, CEBS holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from LeTourneau University. In addition to their degree, they also hold certifications including the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification, obtained in 2001, which validates their mastery of strategic aspects of HR management, depth of knowledge of all HR disciplines, and understanding of the business beyond the HR function. Cheryl also holds the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation, obtained in 2000, which is considered the standard of excellence in the industry for total compensation, including health benefits, retirement plans, and compensation management. The CEBS designation is cosponsored by the International Foundation and the Wharton School of the University of PA.
