Derek Ellison

Derek Ellison is an accomplished architect with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as an Architect at Fennick McCredie Architecture since June 2019, Derek previously worked at Finegold Alexander Architects as an Architectural Designer from May 2015 to June 2019, where responsibilities included drafting in AutoCAD and Revit throughout various design phases. Earlier experience encompasses a role as an Architecture Intern at Miller Dyer Spears Inc. for a short period, contributing to an institutional healthcare project, and as an Architectural Intern at NUTAU USP, focusing on competition documentation and design input. Derek's background also includes a teaching assistantship at Columbia University's Summer High School Program and participation in the design and construction of a park space at design/buildlLAB. Derek initiated a career in architecture with internships at Samaha Associates, PC, while pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech, completed in 2014.
