Bertrand Devillers

Chief Financial Officer at Fermentalg

Bertrand Devillers has over 20 years of experience in financial management, including positions as Chief Financial Officer at Fermentalg, Esterline-Souriau, and Browning-Winchester North America. Bertrand has also served as Group Business Controller for Browning-Winchester and Director of Finance and Operations for Alter Telecom.

Bertrand began their career in 1993 as CFO for Giat Industries. Bertrand then moved to Browning-Winchester North America in 1998, where they served as CFO for four years. In this role, they were responsible for improving operating profit by 30M$ and reducing working capital by 15%. Bertrand also negotiated a credit line with two banking pools and oversaw the divestiture of a loss-making business and plant closure.

In 2002, Bertrand became CFO of Esterline-Souriau, where they managed a sales force of 150M€ and 1300 employees in 12 countries. Bertrand was also responsible for the spin-off and LBO on a division of the FCI group (part of AREVA), the creation of legal structure, and tax optimization in various countries (Europe, USA, Japan). In 2004, they left Esterline-Souriau to become Director of Finance and Operations for Alter Telecom.

In 2014, Bertrand returned to Fermentalg as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, they are responsible for the financial management of the company and overseeing the development of new products.

Bertrand Devillers studied at HEC Paris for their HEC, finance and strategy. Bertrand also holds a bachelor's degree in business law from Faculté de droit Paris XI Sceaux. Additionally, they attended Ste Geneviève Versailles, a preparatory school for business schools.

They are on a team with Coralie Lefebvre - Fermentation Manager, Guillaume Nogaro - Site and Supply Chain Manager, and Hywel Griffiths - Chief Scientific Officer. Bertrand Devillers reports to Philippe Lavielle, Chairman & CEO.
