Shawn Bailey

Shawn Bailey has extensive work experience in finance, with a focus on commercial finance and business partnering. Shawn is currently the Vice President of Finance at Novavax, where they lead a team of finance professionals and provides strategic and financial support to various business functions. Prior to this, Shawn worked at Genentech, where they held roles such as Director of Commercial Finance and Senior Manager of Commercial Finance. In these positions, they oversaw the financial operations for neuro-immunology and rheumatology franchises, as well as supported market research and finance efforts in Africa. Before joining Genentech, Shawn worked at PayPal as a Finance Manager and controller for the Merchant Product & Engineering organization. Shawn also worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Magento Technology and PayPal Technology. Shawn's early career includes roles at Lockheed Martin, where they served as a Senior Pricing Analyst and completed the Finance Leadership Development Program, and Boeing, where they worked as a Finance Intern.

Shawn Bailey holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus in Finance and Business Law from Emory University - Goizueta Business School. Additionally, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Health, Technology, and Innovation from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School. Shawn also pursued further education in Accounting through a Post Baccalaureate program at the University of California, Berkeley.
