Andrew Khair

Andrew Khair, PhD, MBA, currently serves as Director of Strategy, Business Development and New Product Planning at Ferring Pharmaceuticals since December 2017, previously holding the position of Associate Director Medical Affairs. Prior experience includes serving as an Innovation Fellow at the University of Minnesota, where collaboration with a multidisciplinary team focused on developing medical devices. As a Clinical Research Scientist at Mainstay Medical, Andrew contributed to the development of a neuromodulation device for chronic lower back pain. An independent consulting venture involved providing expertise and oversight for various medical device companies. Earlier research roles at Neurostream Technologies, Leptos Biomedical, and Drexel University concentrated on therapeutic solutions for conditions such as sleep apnea and Type II diabetes, along with translational medicine for seizure prediction technologies. Andrew's academic background includes an MBA from the UMN Carlson School of Management and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the same institution.
