Sue Elliott

Sue Elliott, PhD MBA, has a diverse range of work experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Sue is currently serving as the Medical Director and Medical Lead for GI & Microbiome at Ferring Pharmaceuticals since 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Scientific Development Manager - Medical Affairs at Grifols, a global healthcare company, from 2017 to 2019. Sue has also held roles such as Advisor and Member of Regional Alliance, Virtual Advisory Board Panels at Altitude Accelerator, and Mentor at U of T Mississauga, Institute of Management & Innovation. Additionally, they have worked as a Principal at Virtus Insights Inc., a strategic management services firm in the bioscience sector. Sue's career also includes roles as VP of Corporate Development and Director of Strategic/Scientific Consulting at Axiom Real-Time Metrics. Sue started their career as a Senior Director of Strategic Scientific Services at The Synapse Group. Sue has also taken maternity leave and been involved in community and volunteer work.

Sue Elliott, PhD MBA, holds a BSc in Physiology from McGill University, which they obtained from 1989 to 1993. Sue then pursued a PhD in Gastrointestinal Science from the University of Calgary from 1994 to 1999. Sue went on to obtain an MBA with a focus on Marketing and Financing of New Ventures from Queen's University in 2002 and 2003.
