Denver Bortz

Denver Bortz has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Denver started their career at Diebold, where they served as a Sr. Financial Analyst and was involved in various mergers and acquisitions. Denver also acted as the Controller for two startup initiatives during their time there. Bortz then moved on to Proto Circuit, Inc., where they worked as a Controller for four closely-held entities involved in producing advanced printed circuit boards and waste water treatment equipment. Denver played a pivotal role in constructing a new production facility for the company. Later, Bortz joined Richelieu Foods as a Controller, where they facilitated the turnaround of an underperforming production facility and managed its closure after losing a significant customer. Denver then worked as the VP of Finance at Buckeye Nutrition, where they played a key role in the acquisition and integration of a petfoods entity, resulting in increased sales. Bortz also served as the CFO/Controller for Empire Die Casting, where they restored profitability and secured grants for energy-efficient technologies. At SIFCO Industries, Inc., they worked as a Division Controller, revamping the accounting function and improving efficiency and accuracy. Most recently, Bortz served as the Director of Finance and Administration at Ferriot, Inc., where they acted as the chief financial officer and implemented growth initiatives for the company. Overall, Bortz has a strong background in finance and administration with a focus on driving strategic change and achieving operational improvements.

Denver Bortz began their education at Lake High, where they pursued a College Prep program from 1978 to 1982. Denver then attended The University of Akron from 1982 to 1990, earning a Bachelor's degree in Finance. Later, they enrolled at John Carroll University from 1995 to 1998 and completed an MBA in Business Administration.
