Aquilino Alvarez Castro

Aquilino Alvarez Castro currently serves as the Innovation Growth Manager at Ferrovial since October 2023, and has been the Founder and Managing Partner at Orinoco Capital since June 2018, focusing on entrepreneurship through acquisition and deal origination in the lower-tier Middle Market. Previous roles include Director of Research, Development, and Innovation at TSI from June 2022 to September 2023, and Deputy Director of the Building & Renewable Energy Area at EIP for a brief period in early 2022. Prior to these positions, Alvarez Castro worked at Acciona Infraestructuras from August 2006 to June 2018, where responsibilities included managing EU-funded projects and leading R&D initiatives, notably achieving a patent for a sustainable construction material. Aquilino holds an MBA from IESE Business School and dual degrees in Civil Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and Universidad Metropolitana.
