Daniel Sanchez-Barbudo began their work experience in 2003 as an Accountant at Controlex España Prevencion de Riesgos. In 2005, they joined Ferrovial as a Financial Controller before moving on to e-Valora Financial Services in 2008 as a Senior Financial Analyst. Later that same year, they joined EY as an Associate in Corporate Finance and worked there until 2013. Upon returning to Ferrovial in 2013, they held the position of Senior Manager in Investment Analysis for Ferrovial Airports and Ferrovial Power Infrastructure. In 2021, they became the Corporate and Structure Finance Senior Manager for Europe & New Markets at Ferrovial before being promoted to Head of Investment Analysis for Ferrovial Energy Infrastructure and Mobility in 2022.

Daniel Sanchez-Barbudo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, which they obtained between the years 1998 and 2003. Daniel later pursued a Specialized degree in Finance and Banking at the IEB from 2003 to 2004. In 2007, Daniel completed an Executive Master's Degree in Finance at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas. Additionally, they have also obtained a CFA certification from the CFA Institute.
