Michiel Wuisman currently serves as General Counsel at Fertiglobe since January 2020. Prior to this role, Michiel was an Investment Committee Member at Banyan Tree Indochina Hospitality Fund LP and held the position of Senior Legal Investment Counsel at Royal Group (UAE) from June 2013 to January 2020. Michiel also contributed as a Member of the Board of Directors for BeNeLux Business Council from May 2017 to May 2018, functioning as a liaison with the Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands in Abu Dhabi. Previous experience includes serving as a Senior Associate and Associate at Allen & Overy across various departments from 2005 to 2013, as well as a Legal Counsel on secondment at Masdar from November 2009 to January 2011. Michiel's academic background includes a Master in Civil and Business Law from Leiden University and a Certificate in Hotel Management from ESSEC Business School.
