Sheldon Byde

Sheldon Byde currently serves as the Site Permitting Manager at Fervo Energy since July 2025. Prior to this role, Sheldon held the position of Permitting Manager at Cyrq Energy from June 2021 to June 2025. Additionally, Sheldon worked as a Staff Enforcement and Mitigation Attorney at WECC from December 2019 to March 2021 and was the Manager of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance at Magnum Energy from March 2017 to September 2019. Earlier in career, Sheldon was a Senior Environmental Specialist, Senior Regulatory Analyst, and Staff Attorney at Kern River Gas Transmission Company from February 2005 to March 2017, and served as the Assistant City Attorney for Layton City from February 2002 to February 2005. Academically, Sheldon holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, an MBA, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Texas Christian University.
