Rafael Iriya

Rafael Iriya has a strong background in research and data science. Rafael is currently working at Fetch as the Principal Research Scientist, Team Lead. Prior to that, they served as the Principal Research Data Scientist at Fetch. Before joining Fetch, Rafael worked at DeepIQ as the Principal Data Scientist and at EverestLabs.AI as a Senior Research Scientist. Rafael gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant at ASU Biodesign Institute. Additionally, Rafael has industry experience as a Computer Vision Engineer Intern at NIO and as a Researcher at LSI-TEC. Rafael began their career as a Software Engineer at Verisys Tecnologia e Soluções S.A.

Rafael Iriya began their education in 2005 at USP - Universidade de São Paulo, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering. Rafael completed this program in 2009. Subsequently, from 2011 to 2014, Rafael pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering at the same institution. Finally, from 2014 to 2020, they attended Arizona State University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical Engineering.
