Gilberto Marcon dos Santos has held a variety of roles in the robotics industry since 2011. In 2011, they were a Freelance Translator for Gengo and an Intern for ELO Engenharia Junior. In 2012, they were a Software Developer for Núcleo de Robótica Pequi Mecânico and an Undergraduate Researcher for Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG). In 2014, they were a Summer Intern for Engineers for Exploration at the University of California, San Diego. In 2015, they were a Masters Student at UFG, where they designed and implemented a mobile platform for autonomous multi-robot research. From 2016 to 2020, they were a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Oregon State University. In 2020, they began their current role as a Senior Robotics Engineer at Fetch Robotics.
Gilberto Marcon dos Santos attended Universidade Federal de Goiás from 2010 to 2016, earning a Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Engineering. From 2013 to 2014, they attended Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology for Computer Engineering. Finally, Gilberto Marcon dos Santos earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Robotics from Oregon State University between 2016 and 2020.
