Eddy Funkhouser

Eddy Funkhouser is an experienced professional with a focus on community engagement, volunteer coordination, and advocacy within various organizations. Currently serving as the Chapter Engagement Coordinator at PFLAG National/Straight for Equality, Eddy provides resources and support to PFLAG chapters and monitors chapter activities using Salesforce. As Program Director for the Trans Peer Mentor Program, Eddy has successfully doubled volunteer numbers while enhancing BIPOC participation. Previous roles include Volunteer Engagement Program Coordinator at St. Anthony Foundation and Educator and Program Coordinator at Strategic Energy Innovations, where Eddy developed educational programs and cultivated community outreach initiatives. Eddy has also held positions in curriculum development, volunteer management, and research across diverse settings, demonstrating a strong commitment to social justice and service. Educational background includes studies at Oberlin College, City College of San Francisco, and The Putney School, culminating in a high school diploma.
