Mohd Azinuddin Ahmad Mokhtar

Mohd Azinuddin Ahmad Mokhtar, Ph.D., is an accomplished researcher and leader in plant breeding and genomics, currently serving as the Head of Plant Breeding and Senior Lead Researcher at FGV Holdings Berhad since June 2017. With extensive experience managing diverse plant improvement projects, Mohd Azinuddin ensures the annual release of over 200 mother palms for commercial seed production and leads gene editing research for disease resistance. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Biology from the University of Leeds and a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from the National University of Malaysia, complemented by ongoing education in Project Management Leaderships. Mohd Azinuddin has also held various academic and technical roles, contributing significantly to the field of plant genetics and biotechnology.
