Jean Pierre Bassenge has a diverse work experience. Jean Pierre started their career as a Science Journalist at Berliner Zeitung in 2008 and worked there until 2010. Jean Pierre then worked as a Freelance Science Journalist from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, they joined the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology IPK as a Software Development / Student Assistant, and worked there until 2015. Jean Pierre then joined Charité - University Medicine Berlin as a Research Scientist and PhD candidate, where they worked from 2017 to 2020. In 2017, they also started working as a Research Scientist and PhD candidate at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, PTB, and continued until 2023. From 2021 to 2022, they worked as an R&D Software Developer at Circle Cardiovascular Imaging. Currently, they are working as an R&D Software Engineer at Fiagon, starting from 2023.

Jean Pierre Bassenge completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physik at Freie Universität Berlin from 2010 to 2013. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computational Neuroscience at Technische Universität Berlin from 2013 to 2017.
