Cllr Aoife McCooey

Cllr Aoife McCooey currently serves as a teacher at the Department of Education since September 2023 and has held various roles within Fianna Fáil since May 2019, including Chairperson of the Communications Committee, Vice President, and County Councillor for Monaghan County Council. Previous experience includes serving as a Parliamentary Assistant at the Houses of the Oireachtas and positions such as hotel receptionist and youth leader. McCooey's educational background includes a Master's degree in Education from Dublin City University, a Master's in Public Affairs & Political Communication from Technological University Dublin, and a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts from the Institute of Technology, Sligo.
