Edgard Marin CPA, MBA has a diverse range of work experience. From 2018 to the present, they have been the Head of Competitions at FIBA Americas, where they oversee the planning and execution of competitions and manages a significant budget. Prior to this role, from 2018 to 2020, they were the Competitions Senior Manager at FIBA Americas, responsible for managing the operations and execution of competitions across multiple continents.

Before joining FIBA, Edgard worked at their own consulting firm, Edgard Marin-Vazquez CPA, Consulting Services, starting in 2009. As a Certified Public Accountant, they provided services such as finance and compliance consulting, payroll management, and budget preparation for multiple companies. In addition, they served as the Seasonal Director of Technology and Coordinator of Table Officials for Baloncesto Superior Nacional from 2006 to 2019, overseeing business operations and managing a team.

From 2009 to 2017, Edgard worked for the Government of Puerto Rico, Sports and Recreation Department as the Federal Funds and Fiscal Coordinator. Following this, they pursued further education at the same institution and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance, General from 2007 to 2015.

In addition to their academic accomplishments, Edgard Marin has obtained important certifications. Edgard is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Florida, a certification they secured in July 2020. Previously, in February 2010, they became a CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT through the Board of Certified Public Accountants of Puerto Rico.
