Richelieu Barranco

Richelieu Barranco has extensive work experience in various roles related to industrial process management, plant design, and performance improvement. In their most recent position at FiberLean Technologies Ltd, they worked as an Industrial Process Manager/Data Insight Manager, leading the process and plant design, developing process control strategies, and supporting plant commissioning and operations. Prior to that, at Imerys-Omya JV - FiberLean Technologies, they served as the Performance Improvement Manager/Industrial Implementation Manager, where they were responsible for equipment sizing, process control strategies, and plant commissioning and operation. Richelieu also worked at Imerys as a FiberLean HSE and Plant Manager/Senior Process Engineer, overseeing the operation, maintenance, and health and safety of plant facilities, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, they have experience as a Group Leader - Operations and Design at Imperial College London-Novacem Ltd, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham, and a Consultant at Carbones del Caribe - Colombia and Eon UK. Richelieu started their career as a Lecturer at Universidad del Atlántico and a Research Assistant/Demonstrator at the University of Nottingham. Their early work experience includes roles as an Assistant Engineer at Monomeros Colombo Venezolanos S.A. Overall, Richelieu Barranco has a broad range of experience in process engineering, plant management, and research and development.

Richelieu Barranco's education history begins in 1990 when they attended the Universidad del Atlántico. They pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Chemical Engineering, which they completed in 1996.

Afterward, in 1997, Richelieu Barranco went on to the University of Nottingham, where they pursued a Ph.D. in Chemical and Environmental Engineering. They successfully completed their Ph.D. program in 2001.

In terms of additional certifications, Richelieu Barranco obtained several throughout their career. Some of these certifications include Change Management in Lean Six Sigma Projects from LinkedIn, obtained in May 2023, Life Cycle Assessment for Chemical Engineers from the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), obtained in May 2023, and Scale up of Chemical Processes, also from IChemE, obtained in July 2022.

Furthermore, Richelieu Barranco completed various certifications related to project management, leadership, and technical skills. These include certifications in SharePoint Online: Managing Documents, Six Sigma: Green Belt, Microsoft Teams Tips and Tricks, SharePoint for Project Management, and The Secret: What Great Leaders Know and Do, all obtained from LinkedIn.

Additionally, Richelieu Barranco obtained certifications from OSIsoft, such as Creating Basic Reports with PI DataLink - Through OSIsoft Learning, obtained in June 2019, Building PI System Assets and Analytics with AF - Canada, obtained in May 2019, and PI System Administration - Germany, obtained in January 2019.

Other certifications obtained by Richelieu Barranco include edX Honor Code Certificate for Data Analysis: Take it to the MAX() - Delft University of Technology through edX, obtained in June 2015, Chartered Chemical Engineer (CEng) from the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), obtained in March 2012, and Member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers (MIChemE), also obtained in March 2012.
