Nate Lindsey has extensive experience in the field of geophysics. Nate is currently working at FiberSense as the VP of Science & Innovation. Prior to this, they held the position of Lead Scientist, Geophysics at FiberSense from November 2020 to November 2021. Nate also worked at Stanford University as a Thompson Postdoctoral Fellow in Geophysics from January 2020 to November 2020. During their time at Stanford, they conducted research on the relationship between ocean waves and seismic noise and analyzed the impact of COVID-19 on transportation using seismometers and fiber-optic sensing. Nate also co-organized a workshop and tutorial with over 250 attendees. Prior to Stanford, Nate served as an NSF Graduate Research Fellow at UC Berkeley from August 2015 to January 2020, where they studied unmapped faults and ocean waves in Monterey Bay, CA, and calibrated DAS instrument response. Before that, they worked as a Principal Research Associate at Berkeley Lab from April 2012 to August 2015. Nate's career began as a Fulbright Postgraduate Scholar at the US-UK Fulbright Commission from September 2011 to July 2012.

Nate Lindsey received a Bachelor of Science degree in Alternative Energy and Sustainable Engineering from the University of Rochester in 2010. Nate then pursued a Master of Science degree in Geophysics from The University of Edinburgh in 2011-2012. Nate completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Geophysics and Seismology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2019.
