Systems Engineering EIT at Fibracast

Zachary Smith has a diverse range of work experience. Zachary began their career in 2012 as a General Laborer at 3D Mould & Manufacturing, where they worked until 2017. In 2017, they became a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Engineering - McMaster University, where they taught students computer programming skills and provided feedback on assignments. In 2018, they took on the role of an Instructional Assistant Intern at McMaster University. During this time, they gained experience in assisting with instructional activities. In the same year, they joined Fibracast Ltd. as an Engineering Co-op Student, where they worked on R&D projects related to membrane technology. Zachary also used their mechanical skills and chemical process theory to maintain and operate a testing pilot at a local waste water plant. In 2020, they continued their journey with Fibracast Ltd. as a Systems Engineering EIT, where they were involved in project management, project engineering, design, procurement, and commissioning of wastewater treatment plants, primarily in North America but also internationally.

Zachary Smith attended Archbishop Denis O'Connor Catholic High School from 2010 to 2014. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering and Management at McMaster University from 2014 to 2020.
