Ewa Carrier is an accomplished professional in clinical development with extensive experience in oncology and rare diseases. As Vice President of Clinical Development at Fibrogen Inc from June 2015 to June 2019, Ewa led global drug development initiatives. Currently, Ewa serves as Executive Director and Director of Clinical Development and Medical Affairs at Boehringer Ingelheim since February 2013, where Ewa has played a pivotal role as a product leader for the first-in-class Plk inhibitor Volasertib, which received breakthrough therapy designation for acute myeloid leukemia in June 2013. Ewa's previous experience includes serving as Vice President of Medical Affairs at NovaRx Corporation, overseeing a Phase III global trial in a lung cancer vaccine, and as an Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of California San Diego. Ewa holds an MD in Medicine and Surgery from Wroclaw University Medical School.
