Samsan Chio

Samsan Chio has extensive work experience in technical accounting and financial management. Samsan is currently the Executive Director - Controller at FibroGen, Inc. since May 2023. Prior to this, they held various roles at Gilead Sciences, including Senior Director, Director, and Associate Director in Technical Accounting from January 2018 to May 2023. Samsan also worked as Director of Technical Accounting Group at Accretive Solutions from October 2015 to December 2017. Before that, they were the Exp Manager of Technical Accounting/Accounting Policy at eBay Inc from November 2012 to October 2015. Samsan Chio also has experience in Deloitte, where they worked as Senior Manager in Global IFRS and Offerings Services from September 2010 to November 2012, and as Audit Manager from November 2002 to June 2007. Samsan also held managerial positions at JDS Uniphase and VMware.

Samsan Chio completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, having attended from 1997 to 2001.
