Rui Esteves

Rui Esteves has extensive experience in the actuarial field, currently serving as an ExCom and Board member at Via Directa since August 2019. Esteves has been with Fidelidade since November 2008, holding roles such as Head of the Non-Life Statistics and Technical Studies Division and Head of the Technical Division for Motor and Home Insurance. Prior to that, positions at Fidelidade included Head of Department for Pricing and Statistics for Personal Lines and Non-Life Senior Actuary from May 2001 to September 2008. Rui Esteves began professional career as a Non-Life Junior Actuary at Allianz Portugal from January 1998 to April 2001, and also gained early experience as an Intern Statistician at Banco de Portugal. Educational background includes a Master's degree in Actuarial Science and a Licenciatura in Applied Mathematics to Economics and Management from ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management.
